The VEC’S Research Associate,Georgia joined the VEC in August 2010, as member of the initial research team and is currently working on the LCR4.0 programme, assisting BAC Ltd in developing the racing variant of the supercar MONO by using advanced modelling, simulation and optimisation techniques. In the past, Georgia worked on a number of ERDF and R&D projects with SMEs and large organisations from the automotive, aerospace, FMCG and IT sectors.
Georgia’s research interests are focusing on aeroelastic analyses of aircraft, uncertainty quantification, surrogate modelling, optimisation algorithms, integrated CAD/CAE workflows and cloud and high performance computing
Georgia is an associate member of the EPSRC Peer Review College, member of the NAFEMS High Performance Computing Working Group, associate fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of the University of Liverpool Institute for Risk and Uncertainty. She is also actively working on promoting diversity, equality and inclusion in STEM, contributing to the social media campaign of the Women in HPC network.
She enjoys competing in chess tournaments, shooting recurve target archery and rowing with the ladies’ squad at the Warrington Rowing Club.
